Igor Solovey – conductor

Igor Solovey was born in 1974 in the Kharkiv region.

From 1992 to 1997 he studied at the Kharkiv Institute of Arts (class of Yakustidi Y. V.)and from the first year he worked at the Kharkiv Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. He played in the Kharkiv Philharmonic and the Youth symphony orchestra. And also played in a quintet of wooden instruments and as a soloist with different symphony orchestras.

In 2000 Igor Solovey won the competition for the German orchestra “Philarmonie der Nationen” and began more than a decade of touring life. More than 100 concerts a year, recordings, with various soloists and extra class musicians. It was the best experience.

Also in 2012-2013 he played in the French orchestra “Evian festival orchestra”

But he went further. He started conducting and in 2009 I entered the Kharkiv University of Arts as conductor(class Yanko Y. V.). And also took part in various master classes.

Since 2012  conducted at the Dnipro Opera House, Donetsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Khmelnytsky Philharmonic, Kharkiv Youth Orchestra.
