Myroslav Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic is one of Ukraine’s leading concert halls. The organization started its activities in 1912. Our vision entails preserving Ukrainian music art here and abroad as well as introducing European cultural heritage to Ukraine, producing our concerts with a strong international presence. As we just started to recover from the pandemic and rebuild for the future, the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war broke out. But since February 24, 2022, we have held more than sixty live-streamed events aimed at promoting our activity throughout the world, including international projects and several festivals, without mentioning our regular offline concerts a few times a week.
The Portfolio is a curated selection of organizations and professionals that best represent the field of new music in Ukraine today and are the go-to institutions for international cooperation. The current edition is focused on organizations, concert agencies, managers, and other professionals ready to be partners and co-organizers in international projects; media specialized in contemporary classical music; as well as outstanding composers that may create new works on commission.
During the online presentation, you will get the chance to learn more about the contents of the Portfolio, get insights from the Ukrainian professionals that were selected for the first edition, and address your questions to the participants. The presentation will be followed by an online concert that will highlight the works of Ukrainian composers shortlisted in the Portfolio. The Portfolio itself will become available to a wide audience shortly after the presentation.
