The grand music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven performed by Dresden masters will immerse everyone in an unforgettable atmosphere. And the inner light of the almost sacred works of the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt will give you a sense of peace and harmony.
Treat yourself to an evening of masterpieces from the best performers in Europe! On 2 June at 17:00, the Lviv National Philharmonic invites you to attend a concert by musicians of the Dresden Stadtskapelle.
Violinist Federico Kasik said:
“We have been planning to come to Lviv for a long time, but it is paradoxical that we have managed to do so only now. We want to show our solidarity and be together with Ukrainians in these difficult times. I myself studied at the Lviv Music Academy for 6 years with Igor Pilatyuk, so the idea to visit Lviv once again is partly mine.”
The Dresden Soloists will perform for the first time in its announced line-up – a chamber ensemble of strings and winds. It consists of musicians from the Dresden Staatsskapelle, which is the incredibly oldest orchestra in the world. Next year, the group will celebrate its 475th anniversary.
The programme to be performed by the musicians is extremely interesting and spectacular. Violinist Kasik said: “These pieces are universal, even though they come from different eras, but this is music that the whole world understands. It is real, pure, but most importantly, peaceful and positive.”
