On August 19, two performances of the “INSO-Lviv” Academic Symphony Orchestra took place in Heinola, Finland: at the “Tikkurila” library concert and at the “Unelmien Heinola 2023” festival.
“I want to bring the orchestra to Finland so that the musicians can rest from the war and have the opportunity to perform as in normal times. I also want to remind the Finns that our constant support is important and at the same time thank the Finns for all the support they show to Ukrainians,” says project leader Dalia Stasevska.
Key works of Ukrainian and Finnish classical music were performed by the orchestra: “Bercause” by Armas Yarnefelt, “Andante Festivo” by Jan Sibelius, “Melody” by Myroslaw Skoryk, modern Ukrainian music was presented by the play “Lux Aeterna” by Bohdana Frolyak.
