The Contrasts International Music Festival started in a hybrid format

This year’s theme is “Pulsus”. In this way, the organisers emphasise the role of culture and music in inspiring the struggle. Musical events of local bands and musicians from Europe will be held from 29 September to 8 October. The musicians will perform new works that have never been heard on stage before. The concerts will also be available online.

“We are presenting the premiere of works that we have just written and even those that are still being written. In this way, we try to draw more attention to Ukrainian culture, which exists in the context of European culture. Thanks to the Contrasts Festival, we have begun to discover many new young composers. And, of course, we present them to the world”, said Volodymyr Syvokhip, General Director of the Lviv National Philharmonic.
