INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra invites you to the whirlpool of the musical “Waterfall” — an evening where music becomes streams that flow freely through time, emotions and space. Under the skillful leadership of conductors Alexander Gordon (Austria) and Alec Frank-Jemmill (Scotland), the orchestra will transform the stage of the Lviv National Philharmonic into a true source of musical power and inspiration. And this concert will be made special by the participation of young musicians from Lviv, who are improving their skills within the INSO Academy.

The “Waterfall” program is a journey through the channels of different musical eras and styles, united by one powerful current: the power of the human spirit and its desire for harmony. The evening will begin with Richard Strauss’s chamber gem – Serenade for Wind Instruments – which, like the first transparent stream, fills nature with life, and the listeners with peace and harmony. Further, the seemingly carefree waters become deeper and more mysterious. “After Reading Lovecraft” by Oleksandr Rodin for string orchestra immerses the listeners in an exciting sea of fantasies. Here, each note is a wave that hides the secrets of the underwater world, fear and admiration for the unknown, which beckons and worries at the same time.

At some point, the musical flow will change its character again, filled with the energy of romantic exaltation. A playful and turbulent waterfall that scatters splashes of emotions – this is how you can describe the Overture, Scherzo and Finale by Robert Schumann. The culmination of the evening will be a majestic flow that cannot be stopped – the “Eroica” Symphony No. 3 by Ludwig van Beethoven. This musical ocean goes beyond the imagination: the power and grandeur of this symphony resemble an element that destroys everything in its path, cleanses, revives, awakens.

This concert of the INSO-Lviv “Waterfall” orchestra will be a meeting with the element that fills with strength and energy, gives a sense of unity and gives impetus to one’s own achievements. Music, like water, will always find its way — and this path leads to your heart.

Don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in this flow of beauty and harmony with INSO-Lviv.
