General information

Natalia Lebedeva is a jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and Senior Lecturer at the Jazz Department of the Kyiv Institute of Music. She not only teaches at the renowned Reinhold Glière Kyiv Institute of Music, but is also an accomplished arranger, composer, bandleader, and the musical director of the international children’s jazz festival “O’Keshkin Jazz” — a prominent annual event where talented young musicians have the opportunity to perform alongside professional jazz bands.

Her musical interests span mainstream jazz, post-bop, free jazz, Brazilian music, and various experimental directions within the genre. Alongside her original compositions, she focuses on experimental arrangements of classical repertoire, as well as on the international project Jazz UA, dedicated to Ukrainian music and Argentine tango.

Over the years, Natalia Lebedeva has collaborated with musicians from Austria, Germany, and Argentina, including notable figures in the jazz world such as Hans Peter Salentine, Oscar Gunta, and Flavio Romero. She has toured extensively, performing in Poland, Hungary, Austria, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, and Argentina.
