General information

Julija Sadaunykaitė is a Lithuanian classical pianist and Grand Prix winner of the Malta Valletta International Piano Competition. She holds two master’s degrees from Vytautas Magnus University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In 2022, she began advanced postgraduate studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Professor Marianna Shirinyan.

Julija has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, as well as in the United States and China. She has appeared at numerous international festivals, including Yamaha Piano Week in China, FairPlay and Aurora in Sweden, Cracow Music Summer in Poland, and the Pažaislis, Kristupas, and Vilnius Chamber Music Festivals in Lithuania.

She has participated in masterclasses with distinguished musicians including Stephen Kovacevich, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Julian Martin, Jerome Lowenthal, Martin Hughes, and Kyoko Hashimoto, and in chamber music sessions with Yura Lee and Avedis Kouyoumdjian. As a chamber musician, she has collaborated with cellists Hee-Young Lim and Mark Drobinsky, and violinists Boris Livschitz, Natalia Gordeyeva, and Dmytro Udovychenko. She has also performed in piano duos with Hans Eijsackers, Aleksei Zaitsev, and Donaldas Račys.

Highlights of the 2023–2024 season included performances at Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, Laudon Castle and the Bösendorfer Salon in Vienna, and Smetana Hall in Prague.

Julija Sadaunykaitė is an artist with BAMA Artist Management and a piano lecturer at the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas. In 2025, she released her debut CD Première with the Italian label Stradivarius.
