Nikoloz Rachveli, conductor
Charity concerts have become a meaningful tradition for the INSO-Lviv Orchestra, each one carrying its own special significance.
This time, the occasion is particularly noteworthy, as Maestro Nikoloz Rachveli will conduct at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul for the first time. In a space where prayers for Ukraine are heard every day, music becomes another expression of support, remembrance, and gratitude.
The programme brings together works that speak of what matters most: the people we love, the places we long to return to, and the connections that sustain us through even the most difficult times. Chornobryvtsi recalls the warmth of home and a mother’s love. Gia Kancheli’s Letters to Friends unfolds like a deeply personal conversation across distance and hardship. Myroslav Skoryk’s Melody stands as one of the most beloved musical voices of Ukraine, touching listeners with its sincerity and emotional depth. Music from Ukrainian films completes the programme, bringing to life stories, images, and memories that form part of our shared experience.
The concert also serves a charitable purpose. Throughout the evening, funds will be raised to provide 15 Mini Starlink units for the soldiers of Ukraine’s 80th Air Assault Brigade. Today, staying connected means far more than hearing the voices of loved ones, it is a vital resource that helps save lives and support those carrying out critical missions.
We warmly invite you to join us for an evening dedicated to those we are waiting to welcome home, and to those who are defending Ukraine today.
