Elina Buksha

Winner of the Latvian Great Music Award 2012, violinist Elina Buksha is a distinguished representative of the European classical music scene, renowned for her distinctive musical voice, expressive depth, and virtuosity. The Strad Magazine has praised her “capacity for fantasy and storytelling,” while The Guardian has highlighted the technical agility and individuality of her playing.

Elina has performed at leading European concert venues, including Wigmore Hall in London, Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium du Louvre in Paris, and BOZAR in Brussels, and has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as Sinfonia Varsovia, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, and I Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala.

Her artistic development has been shaped by distinguished musicians of our time. Elina studied with Augustin Dumay at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium and with Christoph Poppen in Munich, while also working closely with violinist Midori. She has performed alongside Maria João Pires, Gary Hoffman, Frank Braley, and other internationally acclaimed musicians.

Alongside her concert career, Elina explores the relationship between music, memory, and scent, developing an interdisciplinary project at the intersection of music and perfumery.
On 20 September 2026, Elina Buksha gave masterclasses and opened the concert season of the INSO-Lviv Orchestra at the Lviv National Philharmonic, appearing as a soloist under the baton of conductor Paul Mann.
