Nataliia Kozhushko-Maksymiv – flute

General information

She is a flute soloist and a member of the orchestra of the Lviv National Philharmonic named after M. Skoryk and the Lviv National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Solomiya Krushelnytska.

She studied at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy, where she completed her master’s degree and did an internship. She also studied at the Tromsø Conservatory in Norway, where she studied, among other things, traverso baroque flute. During her studies, she participated in the international project I, Culture Orchestra.

She has collaborated with the INSO-Lviv Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Ukho New Music Ensemble in Kyiv, and the Nostri Temporis Ensemble. She is a member of the new music ensemble Pro et Contra and one of the founders of the open music project Sound Object.

As a soloist, she has performed numerous times with the Lviv Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Lviv Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and the Trembita Choir Orchestra.

He regularly presents solo programs focusing on Baroque and 20th century music, as well as new music. In 2022, together with the Golka Records label, she released an album of contemporary music for solo flute with works by Viktor Kaminsky and Lesia Dychko.

She was awarded the L. Revutsky Prize in 2023.
