Dariya Kniazeva – Mezzo-soprano
Dariya graduated Lviv National Music Academy named by Lysenko (class of 2011, prof. A.Dashak).
She is a prizewinner of the following competitions: Lysenko International Music Contest (III prize, 2012), Competizione dell’Opera (II prize, 2012) and VI International Contest named by Bulbul (4 prize).
In 2013-2014 Dariya was the invited soloist in Erfurt Opera (Germany), performing the part of Eboli in Verdi’s “Don Carlos”.
Since 2011 – Dariya has been working as a soloist in the National Opera of Ukraine named by T.Shevchenko. The roles she performed include but are not limited to:
- Marthe (‘Faust’, Charles Gounod)
- Tkachikha (Weaver) (‘The Tale of Tsar Saltan’, N. Rimsky-Korsakov)
- The Old Gypsy Woman (‘Aleko’, Rachmaninoff)
- Kate Pinkerton (‘Madame Butterfly’, Puccini)
- Olga, Marta (‘Eugene Onegin’, ‘Iolanta’, Tchaikovsky)
- Maddalena (‘Rigoletto’, Verdi)
- Vocal part in ‘El sombrero de tres picos’ ballet by M.De Falla
- Polina (‘The Queen of Spades’ by Tchaikovsky)
- Amneris (‘Aida’ by G.Verdi)
- Eboli (‘Don Carlos’ by G.Verdi)
- Ulrica (‘A masked ball’ by G.Verdi)
Dariya Kniazeva also takes part in concert programs, and performs in Switzerland, Poland, Germany and other countries.
