Denys Snihiriov – accordion

He was born on May 7, 2000, in the city of Molochansk, Zaporizhzhia region (now the city is occupied). At the age of 6, he started learning to play the accordion at the city school of arts. In 2015, he entered the Zaporizhzhia Music College. He studied at the Kyiv National Music Academy of Ukraine (entered in 2019).

Victories:

• All-Ukrainian Competition “Patterns of Prykarpattia” (Ukraine, Drohobych, 2011) – Grand Prix;
• International Competition Italia Award (Italy, Pineto, 2013) – I prize in the category “Virtuoso Accordion”, I absolute prize in the category “Classical Accordion”;
• International Competition Perpetuum Mobile (Ukraine, Drohobych, 2015) – Grand Prix;
• International Competition “Premio Lanciano” (Italy, Lanciano, 2017) – First Prize;
• All-Ukrainian Competition “Prozvysin” (Ukraine, Kropyvnytskyi, 2018) – Grand Prix;
• International Competition “InterSvitiaz Accomusic” (Ukraine, Lutsk, 2018) – Grand Prix;
• International Competition “PIF Castelfidardo” (Italy, Castelfidardo, 2021) – II prize.
• International Competition “Trophee Mondiale de l’Accordeon” (online, 2022) – 1st prize in the category “Classical Composition”.

In 2023, I was able to return to stable classes and this year was the most successful:

• International competition “60th Internationaler Akkordeonwettbewerb Klingenthal” (Germany, Klingenthal, 2023) – 1st prize.
• International Competition “Trophee Mondiale de l’Accordeon” (online, 2023) – 1st prize. The record for the highest score in the main category of the competition in the entire recorded history of this competition.
