General information

Ukrainian violinist Natalia Gordeyeva possesses the unique and distinguished violin tone. Jean-Pierre Gounod, the grand-son of a famous French composer, described her performance style as “intelligent, elegant and full of musical valor”.

Ida Haendel, the legendary Carol Flesh student, has written about Natalia these words: “She plays with respect for the score, which is a quality rare these days”. Furthermore, Natalia Gordeyeva is a passionate follower of Yehudi Menuhin violin school, inherited from Prof.Habib Kayaleh, a former student of Yehudi Menuhin and Natalia’s menthor. Album “Kyiv” featuring Natalia Gordeyeva as soloist in partnership with Danish composer and pianist Morten Jessen was recognised as Silver prize-winner by the Global Music Awards.

Born in Kyiv, Natalia performed her first solo recital at the age of 7. At the age of 10 she performed as a soloist with the “Kyiv Camerata” chamber orchestra. She later got her big-stage debut at 13 y.o., when she successfully performed with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine.

Natalia is a very experienced chamber musician. As a member of chamber groups and as a soloist, Natalia performed on significant european stages, such as Casa Paganini in Genova, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, United Nations Hall and Victoria Hall in Geneva, Tonhalle and Frau Munster in Zürich, Schloss Elmau in Germany, European House and Holmens Kirke in Copenhagen. Natalia performed at the Snow and Symphony Festival in Sent-Moriz, Yehudi Menuhin festival in Gstaad, Copenhagen Summer Festival, performed solo recitals in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan.

After finishing studies in Switzerland, Natalia moved to Kyiv and opened first in Ukraine private music school “Music Arts Academy” in 2014. For more than a decade Natalia have built and developed amateurish musicianship in Ukraine to raise the general cultural level of Ukrainian society.

Following the Invasion of Ukraine, Natalia evacuated to Denmark and committed to promoting Ukrainian culture in Europe. She was quickly re-established as a brilliant musician and performed at the numerous Ukraine-supporting events and charity concerts as well as solo recitals all around Denmark and other countries. One of the most successful recital programs became “Ukrainian Poem” that was performed with partner pianist Violina Petrychenko at the Deutsche Bank’s Forum in Schloss Elmau (Germany), for the “Lions Club” members in Zurich (Switzerland), at the Folkemødet for European Commission on Bornholm, Denmark.

The highlights of first two seasons in Denmark were live performance at the Danish national television DR1, performances for the Danish Parliament members, Prime Minister of Denmark, Ambassador of Ukraine, for His Majesty The King Frederik X and his wife during the mourning service at the Holmens Kirke in Copenhagen, which was also broadcasted live.

In partnership with Danish rising star composer Morten Jessen, Natalia is contributing to Ukraine-support project “Kyiv” as a soloist, manager, editor, tour-organizer and promoter. The project included a recording session with OUR Recordings label, publishing music score by Edition Svitzer, filming a serie of promotion videos, a charity fund-rise for Ukrainian Veterans, a tour in Ukraine with concerts in National Philharmonic and “Veterans Hub” in Kyiv and Lviv Philharmonic. Album “Kyiv” was recognised as Silver prize-winner by the Global Music Awards. The project was covered by major Danish and Ukrainian media and is still growing.
