Romanticism – Here and Now
Here we offer you to take a music journey into the world of Romanticism with its cult
of feelings and creative impulse of love, romantic rebellion and nonconformity.
Listen carefully to the real you, your real emotions and feelings; know yourself
through music by the two of the most outstanding composers of the epoch –
Max Bruch and Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
Bruch’s Violin Concerto became a real hit in the composer’s lifetime. For over a
century it’s been fascinating the audience with its brightness, expressiveness and at
the same time easiness in perception.
Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony is a kind of music embodiment of “To be or Not to
be?” question, depiction of a man’s inner life – now exciting and touching, and now
full of anxiety and misbalanced. The Symphony’s final is an outbreak of energy and
fight ending on major notes.
