Virtuosos 42. Guitar: of Earth and Heaven

Wednesday 31.05.2023 / 19:00

Lyudkevich Concert Hall

150–350

Program

This concert is about the music of life that flourishes in our cities against all odds. Each of the pieces tells magical stories, whether about the elegant European city on the water, Venice of the 18th century, or the colorful neighborhoods of Buenos Aires from the 20th century to the present day. All of this is in the micro-universe of tango, a tango of passion and innovation, arranged from various instruments for string orchestra and the essential guitar. Every note is inspired by reverence for this dance. And only for a moment at the beginning of the evening, the musicians will draw a thin thread from Vivaldi’s music to it. Suddenly, it turns out that grace and virtuosity are common to them…
