It is a multimedia concert project inspired by the enigmatic codes and images found in the medieval Voinych Manuscript (Italy, 15th century).

A group of creative musicians gathered around Norbert Rodenkirchen from Cologne and Ostap Manulyak from Lviv in 2023 and 2024 to find sonic solutions to approach the still undeciphered patterns of the Voynich Codex by developing a new musical language. The focus of the experimental ensemble is to pay homage to the Voynich Codex not so much as a source of partially lost information, but as a unique work of art in its own right. The programme features original compositions by Ostap Manulyak and Norbert Rodenkirchen, framed by experimental improvisations and melodic fragments by Italian late medieval composers.
