Enjoy an event that will transform an ordinary winter evening into a symphony of emotions and inspiration. The concert “Ice” performed by the INSO-Lviv orchestra under the direction of the already well-known Lviv maestro from France Nicolas Chalvin will be a musical journey through time, space and even ice.
A magical evening in the hall of the Lviv National Philharmonic will be a musical allegory on the theme of fragility and strength, because nature teaches us to notice different sides of the same phenomena. With its power, ice protects life, and then succumbs to warmth and becomes the beginning of a true rebirth. So the powerful program of the INSO concert will prove that sensuality is also strength.
The Fourth Symphony of the German romantic Robert Schumann is like an ice-bound lake that awakens in the spring: the tense energy that hides under the surface is revealed in a whirlpool of emotions. Its contrasts seem to conduct a dialogue between cold calm and inner flame, so it is simply impossible to remain indifferent to this natural and supernatural phenomenon.
In the second part of the concert, maestro Chalvin will traditionally present the French classics to the audience – light and luxurious at the same time. The INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra will perform waltzes by Maurice Ravel, which will fascinate the audience with a graceful dance of ice patterns, where each note seems like a scattering of crystal snowflakes. “Noble and sentimental”, Ravel’s waltzes will amaze with a combination of characteristic danceability and true symphonic depth.
We invite you to look at yourself and your present through the transparent icy surface to brilliant music that can melt even icy hearts.
