We invite guests of the Philharmonic Hall to the grand opening of the expanded exhibition “Prayer to the Metropolitan. Josyf Slipyi. Heir”, which was created by artists from different parts of Ukraine, using different styles and techniques. Among the authors are such well-known artists as Sviatoslav Vladyka (Lviv), Oleksandr Okhapkin (Olexandria), Vitalii Gaidar (Zolochiv), Ivan Dragan (Terebovlia), Volodymyr Bezruky (Kalush), Myron Kataran (Lviv), Iryna Gresyk (Zaporizhia), and others …

The exhibition is timed to the 131st anniversary of the birth of Patriarch Yosyf and is a continuation of the cycle of projects “Prayer to the Metropolitan”.
During the event, we will have the opportunity to listen to a concert program on the organ performed by the soloist of the Lviv National Philharmonic Olena Matseliukh.

The project began its journey on February 17, 2022, on the day of the 130th anniversary of the birth of Patriarch Yosyf Slipyi in the premises of the Lviv National Philharmonic with the opening of an art exhibition with the participation of artists from different parts of Ukraine, in the luxury of the voice of world opera tenor Mykhailo Malafii, who performed famous Ukrainian romances that evening.
Then, to the 39th anniversary of the presentation of the Patriarch to eternity, on September 25, 2022, in the concert hall of Stanislav Lyudkevych, an evening of memory of the Patriarch was held with the participation of the chamber orchestra “Virtuosos of Lviv” under the baton of the People’s Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Syvokhip and soloists of the leading European stages Sofia Soloviy and Liliia Nikitchuk.

The exhibition will be open to visiting during any concert events at the National Philharmonic in the next few months.
