The second concert of The Orchestra of the Americas during their
first visit to Ukraine is truly special: the ensemble will be joined
by their Ukrainian colleagues from Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra and the
two ensembles will perform side by side on the same concert - a true
artistic cooperation without borders and cultural barriers. The
concert is celebrating two important dates: Ukrainian composer
Myroslav Skoryk’s 80th birthday and American Composer Leonard
Bernstein’s Centenary. Works by both composers will be performed, as
well as Johannes Brahm’s Piano Concerto. The piano solo part will be
performed by Russian-German pianist Kristina Miller, who has made
recordings for Bavarian Radio and the Naxos Label.
