Vitalii Dvorovyi is a young Ukrainian pianist who has already successfully showcased his talent on international stages. In his concert programs, he harmoniously combines world classics with works by Ukrainian composers. This time, the theme of the recital is elegy — music that captivates with introspection and emotional depth, virtuosic yet rooted in seemingly simple melodies that, through their sincerity, can gently untangle the most knotted threads of the soul.

His refined program brings together dazzling virtuosity, national motifs, and deep musical expressiveness. Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 12 is one of the composer’s most spectacular pieces — embodying the fiery spirit of Hungarian folk dance, it demands exceptional technical skill while allowing the performer to explore a wide emotional palette. Mykola Lysenko’s Rhapsody is a masterpiece of Ukrainian piano music that celebrates the rich folk song tradition.

Lysenko skillfully weaves authentic melodies into academic form while preserving a distinct national character. The program spans a broad spectrum of the European piano tradition — from the brilliance of Romanticism to folk-inspired roots and modernist exploration. Audiences are also invited to discover Karol Szymanowski’s Fantasy, making this evening of piano music ideal for listeners who value both virtuosity and cultural depth.
