Like a breath of spring beneath the heavy shadow of history, three works by Myroslav Skoryk reveal three facets of his artistry — merging into an evening of hope and spiritual strength.
The majestic Prologue from the opera Moses is a musical address — to a people in search of a path, and to a prophet leading them through trials. Symbolically, this piece is entrusted to the young artists of the Lviv Academy — who not only perform the score, but also inherit the baton of cultural memory.
The Violin Concerto No. 7 represents another dimension of Skoryk. Both intellectual and emotional, it shimmers with color, tension, and flight. The final Cantata “Spring” is more than music — it is the echo of awakening. The voices of the choir, Mykola Hubchuk’s baritone, and the soloists intertwine in a unified, life-affirming gesture. It is music in bloom, believing in the future — even when winter still lingers.
