As part of a two-month tour of 40 concerts under the baton of principal conductor Theodore Kuchar, the orchestra performed at the Wildstein Center for the Performing Arts in Florida.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNormally, a tour like this \u2014 Florida, New York City, across America \u2014 would be something to look forward to,\u201d said\u00a0<a title=\"Theodore Kuchar\" href=\"https:\/\/philharmonia.lviv.ua\/en\/collective\/theodore-kuchar-conductor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Theodore Kuchar<\/a>, the Ukrainian American who is principal conductor of the Lviv Philharmonic. \u201cBut people in the orchestra are extremely traumatized by the war, and being away for so long causes a lot of anxiety.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is noticed that\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial;\">the musicians got bad news from back home on Jan. 14, when a Russian missile demolished part of a large apartment complex in Dnipro, a city in central Ukraine, and killed more than 45 residents, including children.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial;\">\u201cThat was absolutely horrible news, to hear that entire families were wiped out,\u201d said violin soloist Vladyslava Luchenko a few days later. \u201cYou feel like your heart is broken open when you allow yourself to grieve.
