Today, February 15, the Symphony Orchestra of the Lviv National Philharmonic, led by Theodore Kuchar, will perform at the glorious Carnegie Hall in New York. This concert is one of the most anticipated in the orchestra’s long tour in the United States of America.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The performance will begin with Chamber Symphony No. 3 by one of the most prominent contemporaries, composer Yevhen Stankovych. The Piano Concerto No. 1 by Johannes Brahms is announced as the next piece of the program. The famous Ukrainian-American pianist Stanislav Khristenko<\/strong> will perform a solo part.<\/p>\n

The third component of the program will be Antonin Dvo\u0159\u00e1k’s Ninth Symphony, “From the New World”, which became world-famous after its world premiere here at Carnegie Hall.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, founded in 1902, the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine is one of the nation\u2019s largest and most internationally renowned ensembles with a remarkable history. This year’s large-scale foreign tour lasts from January to March and includes about 40 concerts at the most recognised and diverse venues in the USA.<\/p>\n
