On 12 November, in partnership with the Contrasts International Contemporary Music Festival, the 19th Days of New Music in Bamberg will take place in Germany. The concert will be titled “Ukrainian Muses Are Not Silent” and will be held as part of the anti-crisis project of the Lviv Philharmonic “Ukraine. Muses Are Not Silent”, which aims to support the professional activities of Ukrainian musicians who remain in the country during the full-scale invasion.

We are extremely happy when we manage to establish such a special festival friendship. We hope to continue this idea in the future: we expect the visit of German musicians to the 30th-anniversary festival to be combined with a return visit in the future. With the help of the Friedrich Baur Foundation, the German festival was able to award two composer prizes to young composers from Ukraine and to invite an ensemble from Lviv to perform world premieres of new works as part of the 19th Days of New Music.
