A few decades ago, the Lviv Philharmonic was beautified with an acoustic wind organ. However, during the Soviet era, it was vandalized: today it is only a monument on the Philharmonic’s stage, and on April 19, you will be able to hear another, no less special, powerful sound of the sampled organ in its foyer.
The performer of the evening will be the famous organist Olena Matseliukh, the author of popular winter and summer festivals, where every season musicians present fantastic works of organ music to the interested public.
This time, selected pearls of primarily romantic music (compositions by Liszt, Wagner, Brahms and Franck) will be performed. The music of Wax and Langlais, inspired by spiritual themes, will add exquisite colors to the bright palette of the concert.
