Emotionality and fervor, and beyond that – the depth of feelings: these are the red threads that weave the program of this special evening. Its uniqueness lies in the combination of the orchestra and solo guitar, which is famous for its first portrayal of the most intimate human thoughts and desires.

Original iconic pieces that are loved by listeners around the world will be performed. The range of stories that will be immersed through music includes a festive carnival dance, a pathetic, desperate cry, and, of course, a love romance. This is how the evening will begin with the iconic Chilean song “Gracias a la vida” written by Violeta Parra, which, despite its life-affirming content, became one of the last works in the composer’s life. The fact that all the pieces selected for the program were written by women will make the event especially sensual: Josephine Robledo’s salon waltz, Lydia Mendoza’s dreams of “Amor Bonito” by the first known Chicano (one of the ethnic groups of California) singer, and Cábuca Granada’s grateful dedication to her father, “Fina Estampa”, manifestations of the highest maternal feelings in Teresa Carreño’s “Petit Valse”, Consuelo Velázquez’s passionate “Bésame mucho” and Chavela Vargas’s poetic, mystical ode to a woman “María Tepozteca”.

The steep emotional roller coaster will be accompanied by Spanish singer Rafael Serrallé and Ukrainian musicians of the Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Serhii Khorovets.
