His operas made respectable members of society cry and laugh, the heroes he wrote embodied the most daring romantic dreams, he is a son of the Baroque era, a favorite of the public, the author of the sublime oratorio “Messiah” and the passionate opera “Alcina”. He is George Friedrich Handel.

Few composers could boast of so many laudatory mentions, Johann Sebastian Bach in his declining years noted that if he were not Bach, he would be Handel! Beethoven remembered him as one of the most brilliant artists of the past, Joseph Haydn was deeply impressed by the famous chorus “Hallelujah” and this series can be continued for a long time, but is it worth confirming that the world loved Handel. And Handel, in turn, wrote a lot about love. So it is precisely the program of his works that the musicians of the Early Music Ensemble “Terra Barocca” dedicate to the upcoming holiday, inviting us to immerse ourselves in the plots of Handel’s opera arias together!
