The group is going to the Homeland of a famous scientist, Poland, to perform at an international festival.

On the occasion of the 550th anniversary of the Polish astronomer, the International Festival of Music and Art “Probaltica”, which is one of the most important festivals in the country, will be held in the city of Toruń.
On Monday, May 1, on the event of the opening of the 30th “Probaltica” festival, the performance will take place in the hall of the “Jordanki” Cultural and Congress Center. The purpose of the concert, as noted by the organizers, is to “praise the heroism of the Ukrainian people in the war against the Russian invasion.”
The Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Volodymyr Syvokhip will perform the dedication piece “Monument to Copernicus” by the composer Piotr Perkowski and the Third Symphony by Borys Liatoshynskyi. In addition, the program includes Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto E minor. The soloist is Maria Klymenko.

The main idea of the festival is to form cooperation, especially in the field of music and visual arts. Acquaintance with the often unknown, even in spite of geographical nearness, the culture of the participating countries should lead to understanding and cooperation in an integrating Europe.
