Description

The opening of the 42nd Virtuosos International Music Art Festival, which will soon begin at the Myroslav Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic under the motto “Ukraine. Muses Are Not Silent” will feature the exhibition of the famous Lviv artist Ihor Kuzmak, which will open on May, 19 at 16:30. During this difficult, challenging time for Ukraine, artists continue to light up the way to victory with their creativity, warming our souls and wounded hearts. This exhibition is not about war, not about the darkness that destroys everything it touches, this exhibition is about the beauty of the Creator, about freedom, about the love of nature and the victory of light and beauty over total evil. More than twenty paintings will appear in the foyer of the Philharmonic, celebrating the beauty of our native land, our magical Carpathians, and our beloved Lviv.

The artist’s position is to learn to notice the beauty, go to the valleys, admire the rivers, flowers, and landscapes, and climb the mountains, so everyone appreciates what surrounds them. One of the artist’s works “Tulip Fields of Holland” and the exhibition poster is a reciprocal and symbolic gesture of gratitude to our friends from the Netherlands for their moral support, who presented Lviv with a thousand varieties of tulips that became the city’s decoration and were provided by a Dutch entrepreneur with the assistance of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands Emile Bernard.

Ihor Kuzmak’s exhibition entitled “Victory of Light” is a continuation of the unfinished cycles “Under the Sky of Ukraine” and “Diverse Flowers of the World”. The Philharmonic audience will be attracted by the author’s works with their exquisite colour, scale, harmony of colours, exciting plots. It will definitely create a good mood not only for music lovers but also for art lovers.
