Irena Hrekh

General information

Irena Hrekh was born in 1959 in Lviv region. She studied solo singing in the class of M. Khmelnytska at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy. In 1980-1983 she worked with the Trembita Honoured Chapel of Ukraine. Since 1998 Irena Hrekh has been the soloist of the Lviv Philharmonic.

She has toured Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and France.

Irena Hrekh has been aired on Lviv television. Her repertoire includes arias from operas and operettas, sacred music, romances, Ukrainian folk songs, solo parts from Mozart’s Requiem, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, G. Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, part of Liubash (The Tsar’s Bride by N. Rimsky-Korsakov) and others.
