Jarosław Meisner

General information

Jarosław Meisner is a graduate of the Secondary Music School in Bytom on the legendary class of prof. Paweł Waloszczyk and the Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of prof. Michał Mazurkiewicz, which he graduated with honors in 2018. Currently, he is a PhD student at his alma mater. He is the winner of the main prizes of several international and national competitions, including: 10th International Wind Instruments Competition in Brno, II International Wind Competition – Vilnius, Andrejs Jurjans VI International Wind Competition – Riga, 1st International Brass Instruments Competition in Lviv, 6th International Instruments Competition Brass in Gdansk.

He is a two-time winner of the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and a scholarship holder of the Young Poland program. During his studies, he received a Rector’s scholarship four times and won a competition for the prestigious scholarship “Yamaha Scholarship Foundation of Europe”.

Regularly cooperates with such orchestras as: National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Sinfonietta Cracovia, AUKSO chamber orchestra, Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Capella Gedanensis, Polish Baltic Philharmonic, Lower Silesian Philharmonic, Gorzów Philharmonic, Opole Philharmonic, Szczecin Philharmonic, Zabrze Philharmonic, Rybnik Philharmonic , Polish Film Music Orchestra, Warsaw Chamber

Opera, Silesian Art Chamber Orchestra.

In the artistic season 2014/2015 he was employed at the Opole Philharmonic. In September 2017 he passed the exams to the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, and from April 2018 he was the first trombonist of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk. As a session musician, he participated in the implementation of recordings for many albums as well as archival recordings.

He has performed many times as a soloist with symphonic and wind orchestras, such as: Silesian Philharmonic, Sinfonia, Professional Symphonic Band “Rīga”, Vilnus Chamber Orchesra, Polish Youth Symphony Orchestra, Academic Brass Band, and as an orchestral musician he performed under the baton of such conductors as : Alexander Liebreich, Michael Zilm, Gabriel Chmura, Tadeusz Strugała, Jacek Kaspszyk, Larry Livingston, Krzysztof Penderecki, George Tschichinadze.
