Yaroslav Myhal – cello

General information

Born in 1961, Yaroslav Myhal studied in Lviv Solomiya Krushelnytska Music School and in Lviv Conservatory under Jevhen Shpitser. He founded and was the artistic director of the Leopolis Chamber Orchestra that was very active for 13 years since 1997. The orchestra recorded 17 CDs of worldwide distribution, including a world CD premiere of Bortniansky’s opera “Alcide” under direction of French conductor Jean-Pierre Lore.

Yaroslav Myhal performed on international festivals in many countries including Poland, France, Germany, Belgium, Montenegro, Italy, Scotland and cooperated with Igor Oistrakh, Ivan Monighetti, Pavel Gigilov, Natalia Datsko, Olha Pasichnyk, Konstanty-Andrzej Kulka, Patrik Messina, Krzesimir Dębski and others.
