Academy Lviv Chamber Orchestra

General information

Founded in 1959 at Lviv Conservatoire, as first ensemble of this type in Ukraine, is well known and resprcted by the admirers of music in Lviv and far beyond its measures.

The Orchestra is a Prize winner of the All-Ukrainian and Internacional Musical Contest. The permanent participant of the international Festivals – ‘’Virtuoso’’ (1982-2018), ’’Contrasts’’ (1995-2018). ’’Kyjv-Music Fest’’, ’’Days of Europe’’, Festivals in Germany – Bayreuth, Berlin, Nurberg, Leipzig, Turnau, Pegnitz, in Poland – Festival of Chamber Music in Lancut, concerts in Warsaw, Krakov, Katovice, Gdansk, Zielona Gora, Sopot, Stchecin, Sanok,Rzeszow,Innowroclaw, in Sveden, Russian, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Byelorussian. From 1995 the Orchestra plays traditional Christsmas concert ‘’Christmas music gift’’.

The repertoire includes the pieces of music of different styles – from the 17 century music to the of 21 century (including jazz music).

The Orchestra had performed concerts with the world known musicians – Igor Ojstrach, Gidon Kremer, Vladimir Spivakov, Juriy Bashmet, Saulus Sondeckis, Ivan Monigetti, Viktor Tretiakov, Dina Joffe, Oleg Krysa, Aleksander Brusilovski, Boris Bloch, Kaja Danczowska, Klaudiusz Baran, Andzej Hiolski,Antonio Amenduni, Michael Vajman, Philipe Guisiano, Aldo Baerten, young talent – Laureates of International Musical Contests .

Recorded 4 tapes, 10 CD, records at Ukrainian Radio fund, TV fund, TV show. The Orchestra is a laureate of the artistic Prize ‘’Lviv Glory’’, the Holder of the Great Silver Medal of Richard Wagner (Germany).
