Eugen Kruk is a famous Ukrainian violinist, soloist and concertmaster of «INSO-Lviv» Symphony Orchestra of Lviv Philharmonic Society.
Eugen Kruk was born on May 26, 1980, in the city of Khmelnitskyi into a family of musicians and educators. In 1994 he was awarded the «New Names of Ukraine» National Competition Prize.
In 1995 Eugen Kruk continued his studies at Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv Secondary Special Music Boarding School. In 1997 he became a Laureate of the M. Strikhardz Young Violinists’ Competition (Lviv, Ukraine) and received the Lviv Wagner Society Award.
In 1999 he began his studies at Mykola Lysenko Lviv State Academy of Music, class of Professor Oresta Kohut.
In 2000 he collaborated with «Europa Philharmonie» Orchestra in Magdeburg (Germany).
In 2002 – 2010 Eugen Kruk worked in «Da Capo» Ukrainian – Austrian music agency as a concertmaster and soloist of «K&K Philharmoniker» Symphony Orchestra. During this period he played over 700 concerts in the best and most famous concert halls in Europe, including among others Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Musikverein Vienna, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Stockholm Concert Hall where he performed not only as the orchestra principal violin but also as a soloist.
Eugen Kruk has collaborated with such renowned conductors as Myroslav Skoryk, Volodymyr Syrenko, Nataliya Ponomarchuk, Hobart Earle, Raymond Janssen, Georg Kugi, Herbert Prikopa, Fahraddin Kerimov, Anna Skryleva, Reinhard Seehafer, Nicolás Pasquet, Sir Dirk Brossé, Dalia Stasevska, Olexandr Zemtsov, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, François Leleux to name a few. He pays special attention to the music of contemporary composers, his performance of pieces by Valentyn Sylvestrov, Yevhen Stankovych, Igor Scherbakov, Yuri Laniuk was highly acclaimed by the European music critics.
Eugen Kruk has collaborated with such orchestras as Odesa National Philharmonic Orchestra, «Lviv Virtuosi» Chamber Orchestra, Lviv National Opera House orchestra, Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic Orchestra and others.
