Zoltan Almashi – cello

General information

Zoltan Almashi (*January 22, 1975, Lviv) — Ukrainian composer, cellist, and laureate of the Levko Revutskyi Prize (2003).

He graduated from the Lviv National Music Academy in the class of cello (1998) and composition (1999) with Yurii Laniuk. In 2002, he took postgraduate studies at the National Music Academy of Ukraine (supervisor Yevhen Stankovych). Artist of the ensembles “Kyiv Camerata”, “New Music in Ukraine”, “Golfstream”. Member of the NSKU. Many times he participated in the festivals “Kyiv Music Fest”, “Kyiv Premieres of the Season”, “Youth Music Forum”, “Two Days and Two Nights of New Music”, “Contrasts” both as a performer and as a composer.

  • “Missa brevis” for chamber choir and chamber orchestra
  • Concerts for soloists and chamber orchestra
  • Chamber instrumental works
