Volodymyr Duda – violin
General information
Famous violinist, soloist, chamberlain, Honored Artist of Ukraine (1989).
After graduating from the Lviv State Conservatory in 1971. In the violin class he worked in the symphony orchestra of the Lviv Philharmonic, and from 1975 to 1990 he was its accompanist.
From 1990 to 1993 he worked in Gdańsk, where he was the concertmaster of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, touring with this famous ensemble in many Western European countries. After returning to Ukraine, he initiated the creation of an ensemble of modern music and string quartet.
Since 1994, V. Duda has been a soloist of the Lviv Philharmonic and the conductor-concertmaster of the Lviv Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra.
