General information

Bohdana Pivnenko – is Head of the Department of Violin of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine

She was graduated with honours and completed an assistantship program course from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, studying with Prof. B.Kotorovych, Prof. I. Pylatyuk, Prof. M.Kuznetsov and also took part in master classes conducted by V.Tretyakov, Z.Bron, O.Parhomenko, B. Gromov.

From 2001 – a soloist of the National ensemble “Kyiv Kamerata”

From 2000 until 2004 – concertmaster of the Kyiv Soloists National Chamber Orchestra.

Bogdana Pivnenko has performed as soloist with the leading Ukrainian orchestras and presented Ukrainian musical culture at concerts in Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Moscow, and also at festivals such as the International Youth& Music Festival Vienna (Gran prix winner), Berliner Festspiele MaerzMusik , Europaisches Klassik Festival (Ruhr), “Kyiv-Musik-Fest”, the Warsaw Autumn, Nostalgie, Malta -Festival(Poland) and others.

The violinist has toured with recitals in Spain (including Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona), Poland, Georgia, Netherlands, Lithuania, Ukraine , Armenia, England, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, USA (including Weil Hall Carnegie Hall)

She regularly takes part in the premiere performances of works by modern Ukrainian composers. She was presented the author’s program of Valentine Silvestrov “Melodies of the Moments” with the maestro on the stages of Berlin, Poznan, Brno, Kiev, Vilnius, Tbilisi.

Bohdana is soloist and producer of projects “Antology of the Modern Ukrainian Music” (11 CDs of music by Ukrainian composer M.Skoryk, V.Silvestrov, E.Stankovych, V.Zubytsky, Z.Almashi, I.Shcherbakov, O.Levkovych).

She worked with conductors, such as Juozas Domarkas, Vladimir Sirenko, Saulius Sondeckis, Volodymyr Shejko, Theodore Kuchar, Natalya Ponomarchuk, Oksana Lyniv, Erki Pehk, Liutauras Balciunas and others.
