Bohdan Kozhushko is a young accordionist from Lviv who specializes in performing baroque and classical music.
Born on May 21, 1994. In 2013, he graduated from the Lviv Music School named after Lyudkevych In the same year, he entered the Lviv National Academy of Music (prof. Yaroslav Oleksiv). He received his postgraduate education at the Academy of Music in Detmold, Germany (Prof. Maciej Frąckiewicz).
Laureate of all-Ukrainian and international competitions, in particular: All-Ukrainian competition of performers on folk instruments “Provesin” (Kirovohrad, 2010, 2011 – 1st prize; 2012 – 2nd prize), International accordion music competition (Przemysl, Poland, 2010, 2012 – diploma with honors), Citta Di Lanciano International Competition (Lanciano, Italy, 2013 – 2nd prize), “Internet music competition” 2014, Belerad, Serbia (1st prize); 7 Perpetuum Mobile International Bayanist-Accordionist Competition (Drohobych, 2014 – 1st prize).
Took part in the master classes of the famous harpsichordist Daniela Dolci (School Cantorum Basel, Switzerland), Marek Toporowski (harpsichord, organ, Warsaw-Katowice), Klaudiusz Baran (accordion, Warsaw), Maciej Fronczkiewicz (accordion, Detmold). Performs in concert and festival programs in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Lithuania. As a soloist, he cooperates with the Chamber Orchestras “Virtuosi of Lviv” and “Akademiya”, the Symphony Orchestra “INSO-Lviv”, the Baroque Orchestra of the Lviv Academy of Music and the Lviv Concert Agency “Collegium” Musicum”.
He is a participant in such festivals as: BachFest Leipzig, Junger Künstler Bayreuth Festival (Germany), Organ Festival in Pelplin (Poland), Organ and Chamber Music Festival in Lviv, Early Music Festival in Lviv, Contemporary Music Festival “Contrasts”, as well as festivals “LvivMozart”, “Virtuosos” and “LvivMozart”.
