Dmytro Tretiak — double bass

General information

Born in 1974 in Kyiv. Since childhood, he learned to play the double bass at music school No. 7 in Kyiv under the guidance of teacher L. Maiboroda. In 1985, he entered the Kyiv Secondary Specialized Music School named after M. V. Lysenko, where he became one of the best students in V. Maiboroda’s class. 1993-2000 — a student of P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy (class of teachers I. Kvach, S. Belousov, V. Soyka).

1995 — artist of the National Ensemble of classical music, named after Borys Liatoshynskyi at the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine.

1998 — artist of the National Chamber Ensemble “Kyiv Soloists” under the leadership of the famous violinist and teacher Bohodar Kotorovych.

As a member of the “Kyiv Soloists”, he became the winner (Grand Prix) of the 30th International Competition-Festival of Chamber Orchestras in Austria (Vienna, 2000).

Artist of the symphony orchestra of the National Opera of Ukraine. A soloist and member of various ensembles in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Singapore, Japan, Romania, Poland and other countries.
