Iryna Vakulina is a conductor, graduate of M. Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy, the Department of opera and symphony conducting (class of Associate Professor Serhiy Burko). Since her student years she has been an active participant in Lviv musical life.
In 2007 she established Stretta Students’ Chamber Orchestra, with which she has repeatedly performed in Lviv and other cities of Ukraine. In 2009-2013 Iryna was an assistant of prof. Z. Ostafiichuk, the chief conductor of the Students’ Symphony Orchestra of M. Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy. In 2013-2014 she was a conductor of the Khmelnytskyi Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra.
In 2014 Iryna Vakulina received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Heritage of Poland «Gaude Polonia» and cooperated with the Ancient Music Ensemble (The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music, Katowice, Poland). Since 2015 she has been one of the conductors of the Lviv Virtuosos Academic Chamber Orchestra.
During the years of creative activity Iryna was a participant of such international festivals and forums as Khmelnytskyi Kamer Fest (2013, 2015), Forum of Young Conductors (2015, Poland), Festival of Contemporary Music «Contrasts» (2013, Lviv) and others. She participated in the Chino-Ukrainian musical project (2013, Lviv) as well as International Project «MŁODZI UKRAINCY W HOŁDZIE WIELKIM POLAKOM» (2010, Warsaw).
She has collaborated with the Lviv Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Khmelnytskyi Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Students’ Chamber Orchestra of M. Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy «Perpetuum mobile», the Ensemble of New Music ConstantY, the Symphony orchestra of M. Lysenko LNMA Opera Studio and others.
Since 2013 Iryna Vakulina has been cooperating with D. Alioshkina, a director of the Theater of Shadows «DYV», who were frequent participants of art festivals in Lviv and other cities of Ukraine.
