Ukrainian conductor, the recipient of the President of Ukraine’s scholarship for young writers and artists in the field of musical art. A representative of the Ukrainian conducting school, formed by the famous conductor and composer Mykola Kolessa. Principal conductor of the LUMOS orchestra, artistic director and conductor of the chamber and symphony orchestra of the Lviv National Polytechnic University. Since the beginning of the 2022/23 season, the conductor of the Academic Symphony Orchestra “INSO-Lviv” (International Symphony Orchestra).
In cooperation with KLK New Music and the Lviv orchestra Lemberg Sinfonietta performs as a permanent session conductor of such festivals as: “Dmitri Shostakovich International Composers’ Competition”, “BRUNO MADERNA International Composers’ Competition”, “Alfred Schnittke Composers Competition”, “MUSICA PER ARCHI Music Composers “Competition”, “ORIENT / OCCIDENT Music Composers’ Competition”. He achieved high results as an interpreter of contemporary foreign and Ukrainian music. Under his direction, more than 100 premieres of works by contemporary composers from all around the world were performed: in Australia, European countries, America, and Asia.
In 2020, at the festival “Contrasts” during the concert series “Pro et Contra. New Music Scene” the composition for voice and instrumental ensemble “Pierrot lunaire” by Arnold Schoenberg was brought to life. This performance, under the direction of Roman Kreslenko, received the “Concert of the Year” nomination in the rating of musical events and personalities of 2020 by Adelina Yefimenko. And in 2021, at the same festival, the conductor interpreted the piece “Summa Tempologica” by the young Ukrainian composer, winner of the Sheptytsky Scholarship, Yurii Pikush.
In the summer of 2019, he conducted the closing concert of the Festival of Youth Choirs and Orchestras “Wscod Zachod Zblizenia” (Radomsko, Poland), and in a few days – the closing concert of the Festival of Youth Choirs and Orchestras “Schengen Meridian” (Slovakia, Kosice)
He collaborated with various orchestras, including Trondheim Symphony Orchestra (TSO, Norway, Trondheim), Taiyuan Symphony Orchestra (Taiyuan, China), Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, Luhansk Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Lviv Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra, Con Fuoco Orchestra and Choir (Krakow, Poland), Lemberg Sinfonietta, Schengen Meridian Festival Orchestra and Choir (Kosice, Slovakia) and others.
He participated in many festivals and competitions, including “Wschod Zachod Zblizenia” (Radomsko, Poland), “Virtuosos” (Lviv), “Magic Tuner” (Kharkov), “Academy” (Lviv), ” Bright Country” (Truskavets), “Schengen Meridian” (Kosice, Slovakia), “Contrasts” (Lviv), Third International Stefan Turchak Competition of Conductors (Kyiv), Princess Astrid International Music Competition (Tronheim, Norway) etc.
