Mykhailo Malafii – tenor

Ukrainian opera singer. Since 2015 he has been a soloist at the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.
He was a lead soloist in such Ukrainian choirs as ˮHominˮ, ˮSurmaˮ, ˮDzvinˮ, and the ˮVyshyvankaˮ ensemble.
Mykhailo is an award winner of many international competitions in Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, among them – the first prize at the A. Dvořák International Competition (2013), The 2nd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition (Belarus, 2015), “Competizione dell`Opera” at Linz (Austria, 2017). During recent years he has performed in the following countries: Italy, France, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Belarus, Slovakia, and South Korea.
His repertory includes parts from the operas by G.Verdi (“Rigoletto”, “A Masked Ball”, “La Traviata”, “Macbeth”), G. Puccini (“La Boheme”, “Madame Butterfly”), P. Tchaikovsky (“Eugene Onegin”), S. Hulak- Artemovskyi (“A Zaporozhian Beyond the Danube”), solo parts by Ukrainian and West European composers, Neapolitan songs.
