Roman Iievsky was born in 1996 in Ukraine in the small city of Kropyvnytskyi. At the age of 6 began to study the recorder in Kirovohrad music school #2. After 3 years, at the age of 9, decided to look for flute at the same school in the class Volodymyr Zalewski. When he finished school in 2012, and went to Kropyvnytsky Music College, also in V. Zalewskyi’s class, and graduated with honors in 2016. Then Roman went to Lviv where he entered the Lviv National Music Academy in the class of Olena Pavlenko. In 2020 Roman received a bachelor’s degree with honors.
During the whole study, the musician was an active participant in different international master classes, such as Masterclasses of D. Bouriakov (principal flute of the Los Angeles Philharmonic) at Johannes Brahms Conservatory in Hamburg, William Bennett Summer School in Italy (Milan, Sale-Marasino), Masterclasses of such teachers as Toon Fret (Belgium), Alexis Kosenko (France), Maria Semotiuk (Ukraine – Netherlands), Janos Balint (Hungary), Andras Adorjan (Hungary – Denmark), Michie Bennett (UK), Anastasia Fedchenko (St. Petersburg, Russia).
In 2015 received a scholarship from Altus UK for studying at William Bennett International Summer School (Italy, Sale-Marasino).
