Teodor Kaskiv (Switzerland)

General information

Teodor Kaskiv was born on May 31, 2006 in Bern, Switzerland.

He began playing violin at the age of 4 under the guidance of his father Oleg Kaskiv, Professor at Menuhin International Music Academy, soloist and concertmaster of “Menuhin Academy Soloist”.

In 2015 he won the scholarship of the world-renowned Rose Institute where he currently studies. As a soloist Teodor regularly performed with «Menuhin Academy Soloist» Orchestra, “Lviv Virtuoso” Chamber Orchestra in Ukraine, and orchestras in France and Switzerland. He took part in the master classes of A. Chumachenko, T. Zolozova.

Teodor is a winner of the The International Arthur Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists (2nd Prize in 2017) and the 1st International Competitions of Young Violinists “Lviv Virtuoso” in Ukraine (1st Prize in 2017).

Teodor performs on a 1810 Claude Piroué violin.
