Vsevolod Sadovyi is a musician, multi-instrumentalist, and researcher. Graduated from the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Academy of Music as a performer and teacher of wind and percussion instruments and a brass band conductor.
The performer has more than 30 traditional percussion, string and wind instruments in his arsenal. At the centre of musical interests are the principles of rituality, modality, cyclicity, and improvisation, and therapeutic aspects of music familiar to archaic, early and modern musical practices.
Researches and interprets the music of Ukrainian emigrants (Lemko Bluegrass Band) and archaic Ukrainian folklore in the contemporary theater project “Kurbasy”. He performs in Europe and the USA with concerts, lectures and master classes. Participant in alternative musical projects working with Ukrainian poetry (“Gych Orchestra”, “Pyrih and Batih”).
Since 2020, he has been studying free improvisation with Mark Tokar (MTET, SPHERES). In 2022, he founded “The Turners” project.
