Yurii Khvostov — oboe

Graduated from the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Musical Academy as a Master of Music in 2011. Previously, he was a bachelor’s student at the Leipzig University of Music and Dance
in Prof. Christian Wetzel’s class (2006-2008) and a student at the Cologne University of Music and Dance (2008-2013). Yurii Khvostov also gained experience as a student at Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmonic (class of Jonathan Kelly, 2011-2013).

He has received a master’s degree in the field of Interpretation of New Music (Cologne University of Music and Dance, 2013-2015)

Yurii Khvostov worked at the Lviv Philharmonic National Symphony Orchestra (principal oboe, 2016-2020) and Lviv National Opera Theatre (2020-2022).
