The second day of the Ukrainian Music Festival, organized by Violina Petrychenko, took place in Wesseling, Germany. Together with mezzo-soprano Lilia Nikitchuk, the pianist performed works by Kyrylo Stetsenko, Hryhoriy Alchevskyi, Yuliy Meytus, Eytan Pessen, Kostiantyn Dankevych, and the premiere of Valentyn Silvestrov’s 5-part cycle based on poems by Ivan Franko, which was written in the 2000s but has not yet been presented to the world.
The founder, a pianist, comments: “As a musician, it was incredible to stand on stage and feel this exciting atmosphere from the first to the last note. The program took us and the audience through an emotional roller coaster. Special thanks to Lilia Nikitchuk for her outstanding musicianship, strength, professionalism and energy she brought to the stage.”
