Lviv National Philharmonic - Bach Marathon has ended

Together with the Lviv Virtuosos Academic Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Taras Verhun, the soloists presented the most famous works by Bach.

22.03 Vivace

The second marathon concert was performed in the Vivace tempo. More than 300 years ago, this tempo symbolized a fairly moderate movement – just enough to make you feel like you were in control of the situation, but nevertheless moving quite dynamically in it.

23.03 Bach is smiling

The works of Johann Sebastian Bach were performed in interesting and extraordinary, different-style and “driving” arrangements by Andri Yatskiv and Serhii Hurin. We are happy! And Bach is smiling…

24.03 Аdagio

The concert explored the architecture of sound that unfolds smoothly in time. The Adagio, a tempo of reflection, was presented to the audience gradually thanks to the unique performing cast of famous Lviv musicians, an octet of cellists.

The audience eagerly attended the concert of the master of world greatness Bach and the composer from Brazil inspired by him, Eitor Villa-Lobos.

24.03 Baroque Chapel

Without frivolity, but with a fantastic sense of humor and imagination: this is how the Baroque world and its representatives Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Sebastian Bach appeared in this concert.

The Baroque Chapel of the Lviv National Music Academy led by Anna Ivaniushenko embodied the idea of an ancient sound revived in young hands. Students of the Academy and teachers performed together on stage.
