The first of two concerts of an Australian flautist Anna De La Vega and a German violinist Daniel Rion at “Virtuosos” will take place with the participation of Orchestra “Lviv Virtuosos” and is exclusively dedicated to music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Flute concert G major was one of the three, which Mozart had to create on order within a short time (4 flute quartets were included).
Within that period Mozart fell in love with Alois Weber who were taking vocal lessons from him. Eventually, Mozart finished only one concert (another one, D major, - it was just a translation of his oboe concert). However, the flute concert isn’t esthetically less valuable in comparison with the other Mozart’s works, especially its slow part.
Mozart was 21. He had written Violin concert № 3 two years earlier. It is worth remembering that Wolfgang’s father, Leopold Mozart, was the author of an important handbook on playing the violin and gave his son a great violin playing basis. Also Mozart were playing his violin concerts (however Mozart-performer is associated with the piano most frequently). Thus here he felt like a fish in water not only from the point of view of composer, but also – performer.
